Directions

The following directions apply to automobile travel (ordinary city streets in Baltimore City are well marked, usually with overhead signs):

From the North (Pennsylvania)
Take Interstate Highway 83 into Baltimore to St. Paul Street. At traffic light turn right onto St. Paul Street. Continue on St. Paul Street to Centre Street. Take the right fork uphill to Franklin Street. Turn right onto Franklin Street and continue to Paca Street (just after Eutaw Street). Turn right onto Paca Street and proceed slowly past a series of row houses on the left. St. Mary’s Spiritual Center is a three-story red brick building just beyond the row houses. Turn left into the parking lot just beyond the Spiritual Center and the Mother Seton House.
From the Northeast (Delaware)
Take Interstate Highway 95 south into Baltimore beyond the Fort McHenry tunnel (toll varies by axle and EZPass use). Shortly after exiting the tunnel, take Interstate 395 to the right to Martin Luther King (MLK) Boulevard. Stay on MLK Boulevard to Route US 40 East (Mulberry Street). Turn right onto US 40 East (Mulberry Street) and stay on it until you reach Paca Street. Turn left onto Paca Street and stay in middle lane. After crossing Franklin Street, stay in the left lane. After passing a series of row houses on the left, you will see St. Mary’s Spiritual Center, a three-story red brick building also on the left. Turn left into the parking lot, which is just beyond the Spiritual Center and the Mother Seton House.
From the South (Washington, DC, and Virginia)
From the Capital Beltway, which is Interstate Highway 495, take Interstate Highway 95 north to Baltimore. At Baltimore, exit onto Interstate Highway 395. Continue on I-395 to exit for Martin Luther King (MLK) Boulevard. Continue north on MLK Boulevard to Route US 40 East (Mulberry Street). Turn right onto US 40 East (Mulberry Street) and proceed to Paca Street. Turn left onto Paca Street and stay in middle lane. After crossing Franklin Street, stay in the left lane. After passing a series of row houses on the left you will see St. Mary’s Spiritual Center, a three-story red brick building also on the left. Turn left into the parking lot, which is just beyond the Spiritual Center and the Mother Seton House.
Alternate Route from Washington, DC
Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Maryland Route 295) straight into Baltimore, where it becomes Russell Street. At Oriole Park in Camden Yards, Russell Street ends and the traffic moves to the right to the parallel street, which is Paca Street. Continue north on Paca Street, staying in the middle lane until you cross Franklin Street. Stay in the left lane. After passing a series of row houses on the left you will see St. Mary’s Spiritual Center, a three-story red brick building also on the left. Turn left into the parking lot, which is just beyond the Spiritual Center and the Mother Seton House.
From the East (Annapolis and the DelMarVa Peninsula)
Take Route US 50 to Interstate Highway 97 north. Follow I-97 to Interstate Highway 695 (Baltimore Beltway). Go west on I-695 (toward Towson) to Maryland Route 295 (the Baltimore-Washington Parkway). Go north on MD 295 toward Baltimore. Route 295 becomes Russell Street, which ends at Oriole Park in Camden Yards and the traffic moves to the parallel street, which is Paca Street. Continue north on Paca Street, staying in the middle lane until you cross Franklin Street. Stay in the left lane. After passing a series of row houses on the left you will see St. Mary’s Spiritual Center, a three-story red brick building also on the left. Turn left into the parking lot, which is just beyond the Spiritual Center and the Mother Seton House.
From the West (Western Maryland and West Virginia)
Take Interstate Highway 70 east to Interstate Highway 695 (Baltimore Beltway). Go south on I-695 toward Glen Burnie to I-95 toward Baltimore. Follow I-95 north toward Baltimore to Interstate Highway 395. Stay on I-395 until the exit for Martin Luther King (MLK) Boulevard. Continue north on MLK Boulevard to Route US 40 East (Mulberry Street). Turn right onto US 40 East (Mulberry Street) and continue until Paca Street. Turn left onto Paca Street and stay in middle lane. St. Mary’s Spiritual Center is easily accessible by plane, train and automobile. It is 20 minutes by car from the Baltimore-Washington International Airport. The Centre Street station of the light rail line connecting BWI and Pennsylvania Railroad Station is three blocks from the Spiritual Center.

Winter Months:
In case of inclement weather, St. Mary’s Spiritual Center & Historic Site follows the Baltimore County School District schedule. For example, if schools are closed or delayed due to snow or ice, so is the site.
